Introduction

About Us

Improving quality of life.

It is our belief that high quality care starts with finding out what is important to our residents and making sure we get the little things right. We are genuinely passionate about delivering personalised care to every resident. Our holistic approach to care means that we not only deliver excellent care, but also residents are encouraged to be as active as they are able both physically and mentally, through events and activities and individual support.

Whilst Downs House and Stroud House are not nursing homes they are able to offer care for a wide range of conditions due to high levels of professional on-going training, Including Dementia, Stroke, Parkinson’s disease, physical disability etc. We always carefully assess residents prior to admission to make sure each home is the right one to fully meet their individual care needs, because we consider our homes to be their home. If a resident’s care needs change we will always try and provide additional care as required including, if needed, Palliative Care.

All rooms are fully furnished to a high standard, however, if residents wish they can personalise their rooms with items from home.

We provide a welcoming and homely environment and make the transition to care as easy as possible. Our dedicated staff work hard to ensure that every residents’ life is enriched and lived to the full.
